Mit den semi-automatischen Schleif- und Poliermaschinen kann sowohl im Einzel- als auch im Zentralandruck gearbeitet werden. Der Zentralandruck ermöglicht das Schleifen und Polieren von eingebetteten, uneingebetteten und übergroßen Proben. In Verbindung mit einer Abtragsmessung kann bei Bedarf automatisch auf eine definierte Probenhöhe abgeschliffen werden. Beim Einzelandruck können bis zu sechs Proben unterschiedlichster Größen in einem Probenhalter durch Andruck einzelner Presskolben bearbeitet werden.
