A pressão central permite lixar e polir amostras embutidas, não embutidas e superdimensionadas. Em combinação com uma medição de remoção, o lixamento pode ser feita automaticamente para uma altura de amostra definida, se necessário. Com uma única pressão, até seis amostras (dependendo do suporte de amostra) de tamanhos diferentes podem ser processadas em um suporte de amostra pressionando os êmbolos individuais
